Crowded Out

In Patrick Lencioni’s book, The Ideal Team Player, the main character finds himself in a challenge that will require intense focus. For a time, he is able to make this his main priority but then, he is surprised when the busyness of ordinary tasks take him off course for two whole days. The seemingly urgent tasks crowd out what is most important to him. This story illustrates a very common experience. We get busy and stop working on what matters most.

This week, I invite you to explore:

What things are most important to me? How busy does my life feel? To what extent have urgent tasks crowded the important things out? What will I change to bring my life into greater alignment around what matters most?

God bless,
Dan
